Whoa..it's been about a century since my last update. Not like it's causing anyone pain, but I'm just saying.
I'm not going to talk about anything from the distant past...just the present and recent past.
Things have been going pretty smoothly. I don't have school this week being that it's midterm week. I had to go in for Spanish today and on Thursday I have pre-calc..ew. I'm really thankful about having this week off because my Hofstra audition is on Saturday and I really need time to practice. But I have to play less than I thought for that audition which is a good thing. I'm not fretting much over it. Honestly, I feel secure about it and I think I'll be fine...that is, if I don't let my freaking nerves get to me. I just can't wait for all this audition business to be over with. I'm so damn tired of playing the same four pieces everyday. It's not that I dislike them, but I want to work on some new stuff.
Anyway...I made a list of some changes that I'd like to make this year... -Excerise more...preferably jogging -Do more art -Read more -Stop feeling intimidated by other people -Eat less crap -Sleep more -Clean my room more often It's pretty basic and general..but you know, a few simple changes can go a long way.
By the way, I watched Little Miss Sunshine a few days ago. It's really good...one of my new favorite movies. I definitely reccommend watching it, it'll put you in a good mood if you're not in one already.

Yesterday was siiiick. I got to stay home from school to see The Color Purple! =D Uncle Frank got free tickets from this guy and he wanted to take me for my birthday. So he convinced my mom..and she let me. I took the train ma'self and when I got to Penn Station I got a bit discombobulated. I usually go up the staircase near Starbucks. But this time the train stopped near a staircase on the opposite side and after walking around like a confused fool for 10 minutes, I managed to discover it. So anyway...the show was beautiful. It was really amazing. The music was great. I loved it. The only thing was, our seats were really far away and there was an annoying group of kids behind us who wouldn't shut up. HOWEVER, during intermission we just scooted on down to the unfilled seats, which were VERY good. So it worked out fine in the end. After the show, Uncle Frank thought it would be cool if we got 1/2 price tickets to see another show. So we decided to buy tickets for Company which I loved! I really enjoyed the music and I loved that the performers played the instruments onstage. I was amazed at how they played wind instruments and sang without fainting. Well...going back...before the show we were trying to figure what to eat. Eventually we just decided to hell with it, let's get McDonald's. It was actually quite a snazzy McDonald's if you ask me. Right after we went to the Virgin Megastore which is always fun. We both wound up buying Fame...only $10! Yep..that's it. I thought it was pretty sweet that I got to see two shows in a day while I barely ever get the chance to see any shows.

| You Belong in Greenwich Village | Avant garde and bohemian, you're quick to adopt new ideas and lifestyles. And while you're a bit less weird these days, you still have a "live and let live" philosophy. |
| You Are Sunrise | You enjoy living a slow, fulfilling life. You enjoy living every moment, no matter how ordinary. You are a person of reflection and meditation. You start and end every day by looking inward. Caring and giving, you enjoy making people happy. You're often cooking for friends or buying them gifts. All in all, you know how to love life for what it is - not for how it should be. |

What's with this Tower Records going out of business nonsense?? Where the hell are we supposed to buy cd's now? I know we could buy music online and everything, but I find it more enjoyable to be able to go to a record store for music. The only other places I could think of are Best Buy and Target. But Best Buy's kind of far and Target barely has anything. I kind of had a weird attachment to Tower Records. I'll really miss it. But on the bright side...they're having humongous sales.

Yeah so... I had a pretty sweet weekend. The downside is I had to take the SAT's. But on the bright side, I don't have to take them ever again. I feel like I did really well on the reading parts, but I think I bombed the math. Grrr math, you're always bringin' me down! Anyway...I got to go to the city afterwards, but I didn't get to see the Grey Gardens thing. It was too late. We were going to eat at this Chinese restaurant called Congee Village, but it was mad crowded. I think that was the most bizarre menu I have ever seen. Some of the things they had were goose intestines, pork stomach with porridge, frog, fish head, and snails (I didn't even know Chinese people ate snails)Those are all things I would never even want to sniff. Well, since we couldn't go there, we got Korean food which was really good. I never had Korean food before and I was pleasantly surprised. After that, we went to the movies and saw Little Children which was amazing. It was a little disturbing, but I really loved it.

The first five people who decide to respond to this post, will get some form of art, by me, about them. I make no guarantees about quality or type, but I will assure that I will give it good effort and that the art will be individual to you, so if you get a mixed CD or some sort of painting doodle, yours is the only one like it. The only catch, of course; as with most memes, if you sign up, you have to put this in your own journal as well.

I've been feeling so unsually tired and sluggish for the past few days. I just don't feel like doing anything. I'm stressing over this freaking college essay. I wrote part of it, but I'm not sure if it's crap or not. I'm also a little concerned because there are only three schools that I know I'm applying to. Oh well
ANYWAY... I can't wait for the weekenddd because I'm going into the city to see a midnight showing of extra Grey Gardens footage with my Uncle. Sweeeet. CAN'T WAIT

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE? So, here's how it works: 1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc) 2. Put it on shuffle 3. Press play 4. For every question, type the song that's playing 5. When you go to a new question, press the next button 6. Don't lie.

| Massapequa |
[23 Sep 2006|11:55pm] |
Reasons why one would hate Massapequa:
-Italian Steroetypes: Give it a rest, Gotti clones. Stop giving Italians a bad name and strengthening the horrible guido stereotype that they have. I'm Italian and I'm sick of people associating Italians with people like you. Hasn't The Sopranos done enough damage?
-Soccer moms: AKA obnoxious moms with fake tans who drive around in Escalades while chatting away on their cell phones.
-Hideous amounts of traffic: Why must it take 15 minutes to drive 5 miles?
-Monstrous, nasty looking houses on the water: Big is not always better and money does not give you good taste.
-Unbearably obnoxious rich kids: Why do you feel the need to drive the Lexus that mommy and daddy bought for you across the street to get lunch? Stop trying to impress and stop acting like you're hot shit. You're incredibly irritating and you're only acting like shit.
-People who drive around BLASTING rap music: Have you ever considered that doing this continuously could perhaps DAMAGE your hearing? I mean, with all that bass booming in your heads, you brains are bound to explode. But I think for most of you, that has already happened.

Yesterday was sooo awesome. Saturday sucked because I was really sick. But Sunday I was better and I went into the city with my brother to meet Uncle Frank. We went to the San Gennaro fair in Little Italy, which was so stereotypical but lots of fun and the food was great. My favorite part was this clown at a dunking booth with this hideous horror movie mask who ruthlessly insulted people. It was hilarious. There was a sign that said "Clown jokes may be offensive. If you do not have a sense of humor, stay away." After the fair, we walked around Chinatown and looked in the store windows to the see the ducks with their heads still on. We walked around the East Village, which is my favorite part of the city. We stopped by this restaurant that my unlce's friend, Johnny, works at. It was really cool. It had a taxidermy theme, which sounds strange, but it was really cool. The last thing we did was see a movie....Black Dahlia. Holy shit, was that awful. Seriously, don't see it. I thought I was going to explode from the boredom and frustration from the fact that we wasted money to see it. Josh Hartnett has to be one of the worst actors in history and Scarlett Johansson can share that spot with him. Well, at least we had a good laugh making fun of it. But despite the fact that the movie sucked corn, I had a really great time.

I just found out that there has been an outbreak of E-Coli in spinach packages. I had a spinach calzone for lunch today. Just peachy
Also, walking in the pouring rain with no protection except a cotton hoodie is not recommended if you're trying to avoid getting sick. Ugh...I hope I feel better tomorrow. I'm supposed to go into the city to meet Uncle Frank and I really wouldn't want to miss an opportunity to go into the city.

I'm getting a haircut today and I'm not really sure how I want to get it cut. I know I want it short because I hate how I look with long hair. I also want to be able to wear it straight and curly. I found this picture of Kiera Knightly and I really like this haircut, but I'm not so sure about how it would look on me...

I just got my schedule today...
1-Eng AP 2-Eco AP/Gov AP 3-A Cappella 4-Spanish AP 5-Music Theory II 6-Lunch 7-Pre-calc 8-Gym/A free period (yay!) 9-Orchestra
I'm pretty happy with it. I think I'll enjoy most of my classes. The only class I have to take that I really do not want to take is pre-calc because I hate math more than anything. But at least I don't have to take science. Economics/Government kind of seems like a drag, but I don't think I'll mind it. I'm really excited about being in A Cappella, plus Chamber Singers. =] I've always wanted to be in chorus and now there's finally room in my schedule for it.

Ahhh...I have fallen in love with Potsdam--Crane School of Music. I visited the school on Wednesday and, fortunately for me, I got to go on a tour of Crane School of Music that I did not previously know about. I've been considering Potsdam for a long time, but I never wanted to go there that badly. Now that I've seen it, it seems like the perfect school for me. It's beautiful, the girl that gave the tour said that it's very safe, it has an outstanding music program, and it's cheap. Although there's not much to do outside of it, it has a great social life (since 3 other colleges are in the area) I know I'll probably get into the regular school, based on my grades...but getting into the Crane School of Music is another story. God...I hope I make it.
